Prof. Dr. Jerzy Sleszynski has been working at the Warsaw University, Faculty of Economic Sciences, since 1979. His research activity focuses on environmental economics, environmental protection policy and sustainable development. Prof. Sleszynski is an active member of the Warsaw Ecological Economics Center where he participated in numerous projects on economic valuation of non-market goods and services and on indicators of sustainable development. Recently, his most valuable papers deal with valuation of cultural heritage and synthetic indicators of sustainability. Prof. Sleszynski published his papers in „Ecological Economics” and in American books. He belongs to the Editorial Board of the ESEE journal „Environmental Policy and Governance”.
